Antonia Thomas - Alex
Nominated for Best Female Newcomer at the 2014 Empire Awards, Antonia Thomas is one of Britain’s most exciting young actresses.
Antonia’s career started with a bang after she won the role of ‘Alisha’ in the BAFTA winning television series Misfits just one day after graduating from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Since leaving Misfits in 2011, Antonia has built up an eclectic body of work starring in highly acclaimed television drama, feature films and theatre. Her recent feature film credits include a lead role in the BAFTA nominated British indie Northern Soul; James McTeigue’s international action thriller Survivor working alongside Milla Jovovich and Pierce Brosnan; and the hugely popular Sunshine On Leith which garnered fantastic reviews and the Empire Award nomination for Antonia.
Antonia’s diverse television work ranges from the lead role of ‘Evie’ in the popular Netflix comedy series Lovesick (previously known as Scrotal Recall on Channel 4); a guest starring role in BBC’s The Musketeers; ITV1’s Homefront; SKY 1’s Fleming, TV movie The Ark; and the TV mini-series The Nightmare Worlds of H.G. Wells – a four part anthology for Sky Arts starring Ray Winstone, Michael Gambon and Rupert Graves.
With a host of independent British features behind her (Spike Island, Eight Minutes Idle, Hello Carter, Rearview, Scintilla, FirstBorn), sell-out runs at the National Theatre with acclaimed and inspiring production Home, and a lead role starring alongside Freddie Highmore in ABC’s runaway hit television series The Good Doctor (the most-watched show on US television in 2017 which returns for a second season this September), Antonia continues to be one of Britain’s most dynamic up-and-coming talents.
