Emma E. Maclennan - Director, Producer
AIR is Emma’s directorial debut.
For 8 years preceding AIR, Emma worked as a production manager on independent British feature films. Based in London but working all over the UK, she worked on each film from script development through to delivery to the distributor; supporting productions from conception to screen. She has since made the natural progression into producing.
Shortly after filming AIR at the V&A Museum in London, Emma was invited to participate in an Artistic Residency at TEMPO Festival in Rio de Janeiro. Part of ‘London Occupation Rio’ in partnership with People’s Palace Projects Ltd and the British Council, this involved collaboration with Brazilian Artists and creation of a live festival performance at TEMPO Festival.
Achieving official selection at international film festivals across the globe, including a world premiere at the prestigious, Oscar®-qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest 2014, AIR went on to win Best Sci-Fi Short Film at Phoenix Film Festival 2015 and Best Sci-Fi Short Film at London Independent Film Festival 2015.
Emma is currently writing her first feature film.
